So i recently added the ever popular Stumbleupon to my current clusterfudge of a firefox toolbar. It’s really cool software that takes you to a random website based on your preferences. As you use it more often the better suited the matches. It’s really cool and has opened my eyes to lots of cool new websites so check it out http://www.stumbleupon.com. Happy stumbling to all!

It has not slipped my attention that i haven’t posted on my blog in a loooooong time. Have been busy with other commitments over the past month, mainly school, i am currently studying to obtain a degree in creative writing, so my blog has just been a training portal for this passion. Thanks to everyone that has been commenting! I’m going to get back into a regular pattern of posting, but Would love some input from the people reading out there about what they would like to see on the site. So any comments on this article will be much appreciated, and hopefully your responses will help me determine what direction to take uk604. Thanks for reading!

OK, so as many of you may know Grouse mountain threw open its winter arms earlier last week. With a good dusting on Wednesday the whole mountain was opened. More snow is still needed for maximum fun time, but Grouse is looking very aesthetically pleasing right now.. In the name of science i tested the now running, new chair lift, which still has not been featured on grouse mountains website as of yet……. lazy. The lift line i got to use (other part still closed for testing) runs from the bottom of paradise(bunny hill) to the top of the screaming eagle chair (cutt chair), and as you will see in the photos, has done well to create a new beginner run to partner with paradise. Your not very high up on the lift, as you can see in one of the photos… so potentially a new sport of lift jumping could also commence…Options, Options, Options! All in all, the new line will serve a purpose despite the fact that it’s not really taking you anywhere new, With 2010 looming Grouse isn’t going to be getting any less crowded and this new lift will make it more bearable….coz lets face it we all F**king hate lines!… and tourists….. totally kidding!, Enjoy the snapz:

Temperatures have plummeted on the lower mainland in the last few days and it’s a tad nipply out to say the least, and from the look of this forecast it doesn’t look like it’s getting any warmer.

I don’t think i have ever experienced cold like this in the UK, and I personally don’t really think its so bad, but hearing everyone’s whining about jack frost has got me thinking about how people deal with cold weather compared to hot… maybe I’m just a little fruity but i would way rather be too cold than too hot. So i started thinking about the negatives to cold weather, and negatives to hot weather.
Cold Weather Negatives.
Slipping on ice (the non funny kind), runny nose, dumb drivers, discomfort if in inappropriate clothing, frosty windows?!, people go into hiding.
Hot weather negatives.
Spandex, Douche bags-douche bagging in the sun(you know who you are!), dumb drivers, sweat, discomfort in inappropriate clothing, people are everywhere…
So maybe I’m missing the point and need englightening.. but is it really that bad?!?… would love to hear what everyone thinks, and perhaps the list will get some new revisions!… but i say F*ck it, Grab a warm jacket some gloves n a hat, n rock the cold!, the streets are looking lonely!

OK, I’m not usually a huge one for treats, but i have recently been enlightened to the world of cream puff’s courtesy of Mr Beard Papa! they’re hard to explain but kinda like profiteroles with real sugary cream…. The first store opened in Osaka, Japan, and they have recently been spreading globally like wildfire with locations also in the UK. Anyway i feel like i have been living under a rock, and i have a lot of lost time to make up for with this culinary treat!!! check em out on 104-1184 Denman St, Vancouver.

Yum..

I was browsing around online the other day when i stumbled upon earthalbum.com, it’s a really cool site where you can view pictures from all around the globe. Awesome for reminiscing holiday destinations or places where you just didn’t have your camera handy!, really high quality decent photos too. The first search i did was my home town ….Found this awesome picture of Coventry cathedral…

Don't see Brickwork like that in the 604!
I’m definitely not religious but I’ve always found the cathedral a real crazy place, probably because of the devastation it suffered in the second world war and how it still stands broken…. so broken but still quite the spectacle!, one that is definitely appreciated more with absence. Found this one too of Coventry’s finest export…

F**k Ford and titty tata motors! MADE IN COVENTRY!!
Love that made in Coventry badge, don’t forget it.. anyway this site has tons to offer so check it out!

My favorite Black Labrador recently underwent some knee surgery. He looked like he was in a fair amount of pain, and is now coming down from being doped up on Oxy Contin for the past couple of weeks. Needless to say he has been working this angle to his advantage for moochables. His silly shaved leg and big begging brown eyes prove to be difficult to deny at times, and I’m pretty sure that yesterday when i had just finished making a chicken sandwich Griffy’s limp tripled in severity whilst he hobbled over to work on some scraps! However when i walked in last night and saw this i started to think i might be being too hard on him……

The pressures of surgery turn G to Nicotine...
Yes it appears griffy has started smoking again… what can i say knee surgery can be tough and griffy has gone back to his old vice… I just hope we can prententiously force our oppinions on him enough so that he re considers his life choice…. Bad Dog!….. only kidding… I guess was way to bored on the couch and before i get animal blood thrown over me and a talking ciggarette on my doorstep or some crap it wasn’t lit and griffy’s little paws remain smoke free!…Get well soon though Griff!… later
